A Companion to Moniuszko, the first synthesising publication on Moniuszko’s life and work in the English language, constitutes an attempt to make up for this recognised gap and familiarise foreign readers with this important yet problematic subject. The book is the result of the concerted efforts of over a dozen authors, who present current academic knowledge of various issues relating to Moniuszko and his work in attractive and evocative language.
