"Hymnes and Songs of the Church" (1623) compiled by George Withers included works by several composers; "Seven Hymns" is al selection from those by Gibbons. The original contained descant and bass parts only: middle parts have been added. Original bar-lines are preserved. These hymns can also be sung, with or without recorders.
