Description

Napoleone Gialdi (Parma, February 2, 1843 [or January 30, 1843] – Borgo San Donnino, now Fidenza, August 23, 1921) was an Italian violinist, composer, and bandleader. Gialdi studied violin in Parma with maestro Domenico De Giovanni and played as a violinist at the Teatro Regio, an activity he interrupted to enlist with Garibaldi in the campaigns of 1860 and 1866.
