Kurt Gäble composed "Euregio" as a commission for the 1st Euregio Music Festival 1999.

The horn, formerly used as an instrument for communication, is to serve in this work as a symbol of communication between the regions and their people. A modern tonal language and a basic rhythm that drives the music forward represent the visionary goal of a multifaceted, cultural yet unified Europe.
