Andrea Gabrieli’s madrigals for five voices constitute the central core of his secular vocal compositions. This volume includes all the works from Gabrieli’s Primo libro a 5 (1566) and seventeen of the twenty-four five-voice works from his Secondo libro a 5 (1570).
