This collection, dating from 1631, consists of sacred concertos for one to three voices, concertos for tenor solo and five-voice chorus, and motets for four to eight voices. Of the twenty-eight pieces, all except one ("Noe, Hodie Christus natus est") are set to German scripture or devotional poetry. As the title page asserts, most of the texts concern eternal life; the collection also includes Christmas and New Year compositions.
