Commissioned by the Association of Texas Small School Bands and premiered by the Texas All-State Band, this work was written to honor Selena, the martyred Tejano superstar, and to reflect the many facets of her life. A contemporary, dramatic, descriptive work, this elegy can be a very emotional experience for both the performers and the audience.
