The trio sonata is regarded as one of the core chamber music genres of the 17th and 18th centuries. Corelli remains to this day its best-known exponent, but also before and after him there was a multitude of exceptional works in the genre that remain largely unknown today. This two-volume catalogue raisonné has finally brought these treasures to light.
