The present edition of Fasch's C major bassoon sonata is closely based on a contemporary copy owned by the Fuerstenberg Herdringen Library in Arnsberg in the Federal Republic of Germany. In compiling the present edition we setout to offer the user as clear and lucid an account as possible of the source material.
