The practical edition presented here is based on the one hand on original editions an ealry prints from the extensive collection of early music for the lute in the possession of Yount Dohna zu Schlobitten (East Prussia), and on the other hand on mansucript copies from various English libraries. A facsimile and a manuscript by Ernest Newman are included in this beautiful edition for guitarists.
