Description
The Rising of the Sun for SATB choir (divisi) and organ (duration 4 minutes) was commissioned by Repton School, in memory of Richard Bradburn, and is a setting of part of Psalm 113. It begins with a solitary bird greeting the approaching dawn, and builds to a dance-like song of praise. Praise ye the Lord. Praise, O ye servants of the Lord, praise the name of the Lord.
