This work was commissioned by Marktmusik Timelkam on the occasion of its 170th anniversary and depicts the cultural life and hustle and bustle of its Austrian home town of Timelkam. Carnival describes a festive procession that begins on the market square and lasts well into the night. The work has many "carnival-like" elements and brings great joy to the players.
