The English group "Deep Purple" was founded in 1968 by Jon Lord and Ritchie Blackmore. Together with singer Ian Gillan they soon gained the reputation of the loudest rock band in the world (Guinnes Book of Records).
With the legendary song "Smoke on the Water" Deep Purple made rock history. The catchy opening riff alone became a timeless catchy tune.
The Japanese arranger Toshihiko Sahashi has put the most famous titles into a rocky concert band arrangement.
