This is a free elaboration of the theme of the Adagio of a Piano Sonata by Frédéric Chopin (1810 – 1849) where the solo part is entrusted to the trumpet. After a majestic introduction, the soloist introduces the Theme in Slow form, which is then taken up very detached by the saxophones, baritones and horns in a more rhythmic style, while the castanets mark a rhythm that imitates the TIP-TAP dance.
