In the summer of 1986 the author was on a rest trip to Atessa, a town in Abruzzo in the province of Chieti where a band festival is held annually. Here he stayed in the Convent of Vallaspra, located in a place near the town, where he found the peace and tranquility forgotten during years of city life.
