Banana Island is an extraordinary, imaginary place: coconut palms, date palms, mango trees, banana trees and mangroves grow there in abundance and the animals live in heavenly harmony. Several themes develop on the basis of the Caribbean dance rhythm Soca and a dialogue is created between the various instrumental groups. The middle section offers the trumpet and trombone the opportunity to show off their solo skills. The work sparkles with joie de vivre!
