CHARIOTS is a piece that represents the story of Helios and his chariot horses. I wrote this piece for Ashton- not only because his name in my fraternity of Kappa Kappa Psi is HAEAleeoΣ, but for the fact that this piece is something completely different from his personality. Ashton is for the most part a gentle soul, but with this piece I wanted to push him and any future performers of this piece to find that inner fire.
