Where Dolphins Play was written for the Pine Island Academy band in St. Augustine, Florida. Since their school mascot is a dolphin, the composer’s intent in this work was to capture the playful and charming spirit of these beloved marine mammals.

The music is catchy and tuneful, and consists of two main sections that complement one another and play off of the same themes.

Composer Chandler Comer’s imagination and originality are most evident in this very fun work for younger ensembles.
