This medley combines 2 Christmas carols that always held a certain fascination for me as a child more for the music than the texts. Written for 1 flute and 2 Bb clarinets in a quasi-Baroque style, the melody is shared among the 3 voices through episodes of Theme and Variation with both carols. difficulty level – medium.
