Anton Bruckner revised the so-called „Linz“ version several times; all of these revisions have had influence on previous printed editions. The present new edition was prepared by Thomas Röder under meticulous appraisal of the original 1868 orchestral parts. The so-called „Linz“ version is now for the first time ever available in the form of the Linz world première of 1868.
