In the 1950s and 1960s, the Flemish singer, composer and lyricist Jacques Brel achieved world fame with his chansons, which sometimes have harsh, sometimes melancholic tones. Far beyond his death in 1978, the world knows and loves his songs. In his medley for wind orchestra Roland Kernen processed some of the wonderful chansons of this unforgotten artist.
