To this day, Eugène Bozza (1905-1991) remains one of the most prolific composers for wind instruments. He composed seven works for Horn, with En Irlande premiering in 1951. Featuring on both the ABRSM and Trinity grade 6 syllabus, En Irlande is dedicated to Monsieur Leferme, a Professor at the Conservatoire National de Valenciennes, where Bozza was Principal for much of his working life.
