Masamicz Amano took on the popular Polovtsian dances of the Russian composer Alexander Borodin, which were also used in the musical "Kismet" and interpreted as songs by Tony Bennet, Bing Crosby and the Four Aces. Amano created a convincing arrangement for concert band, in which the snare drum can shine soloistically.
