In this Romanza the Neapolitan composer Bonamici (1827 - 1905) elaborates and develops the theme of the famous Canzone del salice from Rossini’s Otello; he dedicates this intense melody to the harp. Printed for the first time in 1853, it is here reproduced in the original Urtext version with the Cadence of the harpist Sara Simari.
