Calabria Folk Song II is inspired by a traditional Calabrian folk song entitled "Tata ca moru". The work is structured in the form of a theme and variations, distinguished by its virtuosic character. Conceived for highly skilled performers, the piece showcases the expressive capabilities and versatility of the solo trumpet, whilst offering a contemporary reinterpretation of Calabrian musical tradition.
