The 'Sonata for Clarinet and Piano' was Bernstein's first published composition. Sources for this new revised edition were Bernstein's pencil manuscripts of the clarinet and piano score, as well as the separate clarinet part. Every detail of the sonata has been carefully prepared and reconsidered.
