Commissioned by the Sioux Falls (SD) Middle School All City Jazz Band and the Sioux Falls Jazz and Blues Society, this chart combines two of the most important styles in jazz -- Latin and swing. Solid ensemble work in both styles and a swinging as-written or ad lib solo section for anyone are highlights. The chart closes out with a full-band shout followed by a return to the Latin groove.
