Andrew Balent has risen to the challenge offereating a stimulating piece of music from the limited ranges and rhythms possible at this grade level. Subtle rock elements and the contrast between the 4/4 meter of the vigorous opening and the meter of the slower, legato music in the contrasting section, give the director an occasion for discussing the various approaches to meter required in even the easiest music.
