The present C-major Trio Sonata is derived from two works of Johann Sebastian Bach: Movements 1 and 3 from the Organ Sonata BWV 525, and the Largo from the Flute Sonata BWV 1032. The manuscript was written in the mid 18th century, thus perhaps still during Bach’s lifetime or at least by someone from his circle of pupils.
