The world-famous French crooner Charles Aznavour, born in 1924 to an Armenian family in Paris, also known as Armenia's ambassador to UNESCO. He wrote and sang numerous popular chansons, which were recorded by himself and other great vedettes on records. Some titles also became known in the English sung versions, this was the case with "Hier encore" or "Yesterday, when I was young", one of the great classics.
