Matthias Keller is a German music journalist.
Matthias Keller, who studied piano, music pedagogy and church music at the Musikhochschule München, works as an author and producer for Bayerischer Rundfunk, Hessischer Rundfunk and Norddeutscher Rundfunk in addition to his artistic activities.
As a music journalist he publishes in the Süddeutsche Zeitung, Fono Forum, Klassik Heute, Opernwelt, Münchner Abendzeitung and the Berner Zeitung. Keller taught history and aesthetics of film music at the Staatliche Hochschule für Musik in Munich. Regular workshops and seminars, including for ZDF and the German Goethe-Institut, have taken him as far as Ghana.
Matthias Keller works for the Lexikon Komponisten der Gegenwart and is a member of the jury for the "Preis der deutschen Schallplattenkritik" for film music. Since April 2000 he has been an editor at Bayerischer Rundfunk (BR-Klassik), where he is responsible for the film music programme Cinema - Kino für die Ohren. He is also active as an arranger and composer.
