Jeff Beck (1944-2023) was one of rock's most important electric guitar players. He replaced Eric Clapton with the legendary Yardbirds in 1965 and formed a guitar duo with Jimmy Page. But he soon founded his own band: The Jeff Beck Group, with which he conquered the rock world in both Europe and the USA together with Ron Wood (later of the Rolling Stones) and Rod Stewart. Early Years
Jeff Beck was born near London in 1944 and discovered his love for the blues at an early age. As a teenager, he built his first guitar out of a cigar box – the cornerstone of a brilliant, multiple Grammy winning career.

Jeff Beck's Career
Jeff Beck played in various changing line-ups and recorded albums with many different artists. After the end of the Jeff Beck Group, he featured on albums by Bon Jovi, Roger Waters, Joss Stone and released several solo albums. In 2022 he released the album "18" with his good friend actor Johnny Depp.
1. Guitar League: According to Rolling Stone music magazine, Jeff Beck is ranked number 5 on the list of the 100 Greatest Guitarists of All Time.
He died unexpectedly on the 10th of January 2023.
