The American composer Charles K. Hoag is Emeritus Music Professor of the University of Kansas. In addition to his teaching career, he has also been a bassist in several professional symphony orchestras. His music has been played by many vocal and instrumental ensembles including the Verdehr Trio, the Warsaw Philharmonic Symphony Orchestra, and the Dale Warland Singers.
