'Pastelle' was written by one of Russia's most famous composers. Although one of Gretchaninoff's earliest works, this music already shows the characteristic features of his personal style. The gentle and warm lyricism of the five miniatures was the reason for their great popularity in Russia. 'Pastelle' is among the most popular works of the Russian musico-educational repertoire.
