Description
Erst kurze Zeit vor seinem Tod schrieb Genzmer ein Werk für gemischten Chor a cappella über die berühmten Schlussverse aus Goethes "Faust". Er widerstand der naheliegenden Versuchung einer übertrieben wirkenden Überhöhung und schuf eine ganz lapidare, knappe Komposition ("Sehr ruhig") von nur wenigen Takten Länge: "Das Ewigweibliche zieht uns hinan".
