Marcin Blazewicz, born in Warsaw in 1953, is one of the most successful Polish composers of contemporary music. He studied composition with Francois-Bernard Mache, Iannis Xenakis and Olivier Messiaen at the Chopin Music Conservatoire in Warsaw where he has been teaching instrumentation since 1985 and composition since 2004.
