Description
The creation of this parody begins in 1718 and ends with the final version in 1731. The original work is the birthday cantata "Der Himmel lacht auf Anhalts Ruhm und Glück" ("The sky laughs at Anhalt's fame and fortune") for Prince Leopold von Anhalt-Köthen (1718, BWV 66a), with a text by Christian Friedrich Hunold.
