Last Call was commissioned by Thomas Beiganz, manager of the Brass Band Oberösterreich (Upper Austria Brass Band). There is, currently, relatively little repertoire available for brass bands in a modern, pop/funk style, and so Last Call is already the second piece that this brass band, under the direction of Hannes Buchegger, has commissioned from the composer.
